What are Finns all about? Let me start by saying that I am me, tho a Finn, not your regular Finn. So forget the stereotypes, but before we get down to the details, lets check what Finns are all about.
Finnish people are warm, open and sincere, even though they might tell you the exact opposite. (VisitFinland.com)
Ok, so I said I am not your true Finn. Well, no, but I am warm, open and sincere. And my first encounter with new people is the opposite of what you just saw. I am bubbly, social, interesting, interested and funny. I am your cup of coffee regardless what type of coffee you like. I am me.
I am not shy, I am extrovert. Reserved? Truly depends on the situations – sometimes you have to be! Yes, we know what the world thinks of us, and we can laugh at ourselves. Some of it is true, but most is not. I am me.
I love small talk. Quiet moments are normal. Silence can be worth a thousand words. I never say “Lets get together later” unless I mean it. What I say is what I mean. Small talk to fill time is not me, but small talk to get to know someone is me.
Sarcasm, oh sarcasm. Being professional at work does not cut sarcasm out from my private life. Civilised & sociable.
Sauna, sauna, sauna. And yes, I always do it “clothes-free”. Could be the greatest difference between Finns and most English speakers.
Lakes. Summer. BBQ. Sauna. Relax. Peace. Nature. Family. Quality time. Sunlight. Moments. Reality. Being. Me.
Seasons are something I adore. However, I am not a fan of winter, though it makes the world look like a magical place. Cold is not my friend, but during the last few years I have grown closer and closer to winter. A sunny winter day is such a pretty experience and can create ever lasting moments, which for me are priceless.
I have seen the world, lived in Australia, Ireland, Germany and Sweden. I know people, cultures, world and business. I adore marketing and communication as a field in which to work in and what I have studied in the form of BBA & MBA. The specifics.
